HOW TO PLAY
-------------

A corrupted pong remix that increases in intensity as you play. Move the mouse left/right to spin the paddle.

See how many dimensions you can find. Tough it out as the challenge grows. Go for the highest score!

(The highest score I know of is 69(no joke) set by yours truly)

RETROSPECTIVE
-------------
The 5th game for game a week, with the theme of 'Physics' and my first collab! Lauren did all the art while I did the code. There's not a lot to say for this week because it largley went by really smoothly. Our brainstorming process was probably the most interesting, as we spent maybe more than an hour just throwing around ideas and sketches then collectivley deciding on what was both the most attainable and interesting design. I really like how this game turned out.

In hindsight I'm not sure how successful the way you control the paddle was, and may have just been better if the paddle simply tracked to where your mouse was. It does give it an interesting learning curve, but the game quickly gets too difficult for most people. A little insider secret to RONG - the speed of the ball actually stops increasing at 50 points. Any faster and it's pretty much impossibly difficult. The only thing that keeps increasing forever is the screenshake, which I actually think is pretty fun to try and grit your teeth through.

Part of my reasoning for this choice is that when you get good enough at a certain skill, I find the difficulty curve completley flattens out. If you can consitantly get to 50 points in RONG, I believe you can probably consistantly keep going at that pace forever. So I decided that instead of upping the physical challenge to inhuman levels, it'd be more interesting for advanaced players to have an additional layer of difficulty on top. Like getting basically perfect at a skill, then having to do it while someone waved their hands in front of your face.

@ me on twitter if you break my record of 69! Screenshot it!!
